What is Microcurrent?

Microcurrent is one of the hottest innovations in the anti-aging industry and is used in top spas and medical offices for facial contouring, toning and firming of aging skin.

Microcurrent is a low-level current that mimics the body’s natural current and can provide both instant and cumulative results. This therapy is a clinically tested anti-aging treatment used for facial contouring, toning, and firming of aging skin. It may also stimulate the lymphatic system, causing a decrease in puffiness and eye bags, and a positive increase in complexion and collagen. Results can be so dramatic that microcurrent is often referred to as the 5-minute face lift.

How does it work?

It works by sending tiny electrical impulses through the muscles. These impulses mimic the natural electricity in your body and cause no harm. As the muscles are "worked out", protein and ATP production increases, which energizes muscles and creates a more lifted, toned look as a result. This increase in ATP also triggers the production of elastin and collagen which assists in skin repair as well. This is similar to how exercise will energize the muscles of our bodies. Unlike anywhere else on the body, the facial muscles are directly connected to the skin, so the result of energizing the muscle is often an improved, lifted appearance.

What Should I Expect During Treatment?

Because microcurrent works sub-sensory, the treatment is soothing and most clients feel nothing at all. Some clients feel slight tingling sensations, flashing of the optic nerve, and/or a metallic taste in the mouth during the procedure.

Before and After Care:

Before your treatment make sure to drink 16oz of water to help with skin hydration and results.

After your treatment drink 16oz of water to help flush the system and hydrate.  Then continue with 2 liters of water per day to assist their body in expelling toxins and other by-products associated with lymphatic stimulation from this treatment.
